Fine weather programme: Departure about 11:00 (right after the opening session)

On a sunny late summer day we will be driven to the village of Ramsau. After having lunch in a restaurant there, we will take the gondola cableway onto the Dachstein glacer (we will be on 2,700 m sea level) and visit the Sky Walk near the summit station to have a gorgeous view over the Enns-valley and the beautiful mountain scenery of Styria and Salzburg. We will also see the ice palace. After a coffee break in the Dachstein restaurant we will return to Ramsau by gondola and join a guide through the loden production in Ramsau. Return time in Raumberg-Gumpenstein about 5:30 – 6:00 p.m. Please note that we need appropriate clothes for this excursion!

Bad weather programme: Departure about 11:00 (right after the opening session)

We will go to Bad Aussee (or Altaussee) to have our lunch there. Then we will go on to Bad Ischl and visit the Kaiservilla (villa of the former Emperor of Austria). After the guidance we can stroll through the old centre of Bad Ischl and have a coffee and cake at the famous confectionery Zauner. – Return time about 5:00 – 5:30 p.m.

We will join the participants of the EGF-Symposium for the Styrian evening at AREC Raumberg-Gumpenstein.

Time frame: 08:00 – ca. 12:00

Fine weather programme:

Salzkammergut lakes-tour: Our bus drives us to the small village Gössl at the Grundlsee (lake Grundlsee), where we can have a walk to the romantic and historically interesting Toplitzsee (about ½ h, flat). We can have a coffee there or later back at the Grundlsee. Return time about 12:00 noon at Raumberg.

Bad weather programme:

Visit of the famous library and museum in the monastery of Admont with a guide. If there is time enough we can take another scenic way back to Irdning. Return time: 12:00 noon at Raumberg.

We will join the participants of the EGF-Symposium for the mid-term excursions, which will start at 12:30 from school Raumberg.

Time frame: 08:30 – ca. 1:00 p.m.

Fine weather programme:

Our bus drives us to the small village of Tauplitz, where we take the chair lift onto the Tauplitzalm (mountain pasture on ca. 1,600 – 1,700 m sea level). In easy and short walks we can discover the small hidden lakes of the Tauplitzalm, enjoy the view and join one of the alpine huts there for a break. Please note to be appropriately clothed for this excursion. Return time about 1:00 p.m. at Raumberg.

Bad weather programme

Trip to Bad Aussee, right in the middle of Austria: we will visit the ginger bread production there and have the possibility to stroll through the nice village with its interesting shops and confectionery.
Optionally we can visit the museum on regional landscape in the castle of Trautenfels near Irdning and attend a guide there.

We will join the participants of the EGF-Symposium for the final lunch, which will start at 1:30 p.m. (school Raumberg)
